Thanks to all the volunteers who turned out on Cal Day. Saturday, April 17th, was a success!

More than 40 volunteers from the community gave the Masjid a facelift. Thanks to your efforts, we have a cleaner Masjid, and a tighter community around  it.

The Berkeley Masjid Foundation

The Berkeley Masjid Foundation (BMF) is committed to establishing a permanent place of worship, scholarly excellence, cultural outreach, and civic engagement for the Muslim community in Berkeley. 

Berkeley is home to one of the premier educational institutions in the world. Any given year, there are at least 300 Muslim students attending UC Berkeley. These are the best and brightest minds from around the world and represent the future of our ummah both here and abroad.

Despite this notable Muslim presence, there is no established masjid to serve the community. We need your help to change this. 

We own the site for the future Berkeley Masjid at 2716 Derby Street and rconstruction is ongoing - we're nearly there thanks to all of your support!

Construction is ongoing and we're moving ever closer to making the Berkeley Masjid a reality.  We're currently raising the remaining funds to see this project's completion before Ramadan 2011.
